Die-casting operator — Eagle County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Eagle County, Colorado. You will mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
