Now hiring: blocklayer (South Carolina)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a blocklayer in Laurens County, South Carolina. Your main tasks: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
