Immediate opening: backhoe loader operator (North Carolina)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a backhoe loader operator in Alleghany County, North Carolina. You will be based on a busy construction site. Requirements: • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Understanding of safe digging near underground services Day to day you will load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket; keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines; check for underground cables and services before digging; operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines. 5+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
