Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in Randolph County, Alabama. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Day to day you will assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
