Immediate opening: metal caster (Texas)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a metal caster in Maverick County, Texas. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. You will make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Six days a week, one day off.
