Turning centre operator • Cayuga County, New York

Immediate opening: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Cayuga County, New York. You will work in a precision engineering workshop. The role involves check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes; set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed. What we are looking for: • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
