Semi-automatic welder — Martin County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Martin County, Kentucky. You will work at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Day to day you will check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness. You should have: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium Rotating shifts.
