We are recruiting: we are hiring a blocklayer in Owsley County, Kentucky. The role involves cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod. You should have: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
