Ironing operator — Macoupin County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an ironing operator in Macoupin County, Illinois. You will be based in a garment export house. The role involves: • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments What we are looking for: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Part-time with flexible hours.
