We are recruiting: we are hiring a machine setter-operator in Newport, Wales. On the job you will handle: • Clear jams and remove rejected parts from the line • Run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing • Change tooling, dies and moulds during product changeovers • Load raw material and feed stock into the machine hopper • Report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter • Key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature What we are looking for: • 1-2 years' experience operating production machinery • Able to stand for long hours on the shop floor • Able to read job cards and basic engineering drawings Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
