Vacancy available: flatlock machine operator (Alaska)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Aleutians West Census Area, Alaska. You will be based in a small denim manufacturing unit. Day-to-day duties: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line What we are looking for: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams 2+ years on the tools preferred.
