Vacancy available: single needle operator (Michigan)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a single needle operator in Saginaw County, Michigan. The job is at a busy garment factory. What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching The role involves: • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required Overtime paid at a premium rate.
