Bakery assistant — Guadalupe County

Now hiring: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Guadalupe County, New Mexico. Day-to-day duties: • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
