Now hiring: we are hiring a system formwork carpenter in Calhoun County, Michigan. You will work on a bridge and flyover project. What we are looking for: • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Confident working at height on scaffold and decking Day to day you will read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters; set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking; check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line; de-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints. At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
