Shakeout operator — St. Clair County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a shakeout operator in St. Clair County, Missouri. The role involves prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
