Excavator operator — Wirt County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an excavator operator in Wirt County, West Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Check for underground cables and services before digging • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
