Fire and safety officer — Union County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Union County, Florida. You will be based on a road and infrastructure project. You should have: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces On a typical shift you will check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site.
