Now hiring: we are hiring a blocklayer in Bureau County, Illinois. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. The role involves: • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go You should have: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Performance bonus on top of base pay.
