Now hiring: we are hiring a crawler crane operator in Calhoun County, Iowa. The job is at a container port and shipping yard. Day-to-day duties: • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity What we are looking for: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) 1+ years on the tools preferred.
