Join our team: we are hiring an argon welder in Pierce County, Washington. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. On the job you will handle: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work 5+ years on the tools preferred.
