Rigging foreman • Ikwerre, Rivers State

Immediate opening: we are hiring a rigging foreman in Ikwerre, Rivers State. You will work at a shipyard. Day-to-day duties: • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear You should have: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
