Immediate opening: we are hiring a dry lining plasterer in Douglas County, Illinois. The job is on a commercial fit-out project. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience hand-skimming and floating to a flat finish • Able to read drawings and set out work to a deadline • Reliable timekeeping and a strong work ethic The role involves float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge; set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work; apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork; tape and joint plasterboard seams with scrim and filler. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Pay around $18 per hour, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
