Single needle operator — Hampden County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a single needle operator in Hampden County, Massachusetts. You will work at a knitwear stitching unit. On the job you will handle: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet You should have: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
