Immediate opening: confectioner (Louisiana)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a confectioner in St. Mary Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at a cake shop. The role involves score the top of loaves before baking; load and unload the deck oven with a peel; check finished products for colour, crumb and weight; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds. You should have: • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens Rotating shifts.
