Now hiring: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Sully County, South Dakota. Ideal candidate: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Understanding of hand and radio signals Day to day you will carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
