Vacancy available: gypsum plasterer (Illinois)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gypsum plasterer in Jefferson County, Illinois. You will work at a plastering and dry lining contractor. Day to day you will clean trowels, buckets and mixers before the plaster sets; tape and joint plasterboard seams with scrim and filler; apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork; patch and repair cracked, blown or hollow plaster; dot-and-dab plasterboard to walls and ceilings; apply tanking and renovating plaster to damp walls. What we are looking for: • CSCS card or willing to obtain one • Willing to work on both new build and refurbishment sites • Knowledge of different plasters, renders and bonding agents Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $5,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
