Shakeout operator • Gage County, Nebraska

We are recruiting: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Gage County, Nebraska. You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Day-to-day duties: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
