Great opportunity: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Boone County, Iowa. You will be based in a busy laundry. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings You will press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
