Banksman — Cumbria

We are recruiting: we are hiring a banksman in Cumbria, England. The role involves: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position Requirements: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
