Semi-automatic welder — Porter County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Porter County, Indiana. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. You will clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints. What we are looking for: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances 6+ years on the tools preferred. $16 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
