Quality control inspector — Floyd County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a quality control inspector in Floyd County, Iowa. The job is in a metal fabrication workshop. You should have: • Confident using vernier callipers, micrometers and gauges • Able to stand for full shifts on the production floor • Good eyesight and colour vision for visual inspection Day-to-day duties: • Calibrate and verify hand gauges before each shift • Check packaging, labelling and barcode accuracy before dispatch • Segregate and quarantine defective or out-of-tolerance items • Measure finished parts with vernier callipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Log batch numbers, lot codes and traceability data • Inspect welds, paint finish and surface defects under inspection lighting 3+ years on the tools preferred.
