On a typical shift you will top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts; measure rope tension and check for broken strands; run load and overload tests with test weights; wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork. You should have: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
