Tailor machinist — Henderson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Henderson County, Kentucky. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. Day to day you will clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers. You should have: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line Part-time with flexible hours. $5,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
