Now hiring: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Darke County, Ohio. You will be based in a garment export house. Day-to-day duties: • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents What we are looking for: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Overtime paid at a premium rate.
