Now hiring: we are hiring a blocklayer in Rawlins County, Kansas. You should have: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks On a typical shift you will spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings.
