Concrete placer — Barnstable County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a concrete placer in Barnstable County, Massachusetts. Day to day you will screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls; load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength; erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours 4+ years on the tools preferred. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
