Gas meter installer — Floyd County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Floyd County, Kentucky. You will work at a heating and plumbing contractor. The role involves: • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls Requirements: • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Pay around $5,000 per month, based on your experience. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
