Great opportunity: we are hiring a backhoe operator in Mecosta County, Michigan. On a typical shift you will lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains; strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse; carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels; inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up; dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds; keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly. Requirements: • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing 6+ years on the tools preferred.
