Die-casting operator — Grundy County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Grundy County, Iowa. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
