Natural gas fitter — Scott County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a natural gas fitter in Scott County, Virginia. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches Day to day you will check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray; fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation; braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge.
