Formwork carpenter — Hudson County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Hudson County, New Jersey. You will work at a reinforced concrete building site. The role involves repair damaged plywood and timber shutters; cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs; watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement; check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork Six days a week, one day off.
