Vacancy available: gang bricklayer (Texas)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Dickens County, Texas. The job is on a scaffolded high-rise site. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day The role involves: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
