Milling machine operator wanted in Houston County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a milling machine operator in Houston County, Alabama. The job is at a busy machine shop. Your main tasks: • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance Ideal candidate: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade 3+ years on the tools preferred.
