Argon welder — Steele County

Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Steele County, North Dakota. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. On the job you will handle: • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise What we are looking for: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Part-time with flexible hours.
