TIG welder • Clay County, Texas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a TIG welder in Clay County, Texas. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel We offer $4,400 per month plus benefits.
