Now hiring: vertical milling machine operator (Florida)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Sarasota County, Florida. You will be based in a CNC machining unit. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Able to grind and set HSS cutters On the job you will handle: • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
