Immediate opening: toolroom milling operator (Virginia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a toolroom milling operator in Fairfax County, Virginia. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Experience on Fanuc/Siemens CNC controls Your main tasks: • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
