Ideal candidate: • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Able to read formwork and structural drawings • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork The role involves apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting; assemble and align system formwork panels (Doka, Peri, MIVAN); box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations; read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters; brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure.
