Sample machinist • Scott County, Virginia

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sample machinist in Scott County, Virginia. You will work at a knitwear stitching unit. You will meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching. Ideal candidate: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
