Sausage maker — McPherson County

Now hiring: we are hiring a sausage maker in McPherson County, Kansas. You will be based in a meat processing plant. Your main tasks: • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking What we are looking for: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
